Like Webster’s Dictionary…

I’ll explain the title in a minute.

First up, an apology. I’ve not been here as much as usual, and I’ve certainly been posting less. Some of you have been aware that I’ve been off work for a few weeks: sadly, my health went to bits due to a number of factors, which I won’t bore you with here. Suffice to say I haven’t been well enough to work.

My GP kindly afforded me some treatment, and with it a sick note which is due to end on the 30th (Monday). The timing was done to co-incide with the start of my annual leave. As regular readers know, I escape the rain and fog of February and head somewhere sunny for a week or two at this time of year. The hope that is with a few weeks off, followed by three weeks annual leave (two of which I’ll be away for) I shall be ready and able to return to work fighting fit by the third week of February. It’s a good theory, though my small attempts at doing odds and ends this week (including my personal safety training update and visiting my work email for the first time) have proved more taxing than I expected. So if you’ve been waiting to hear from me, my apologies.

Anyway, in theory I begin my annual leave in a few hours. In theory I shan’t be sick on Monday. And in theory I’ll get back to posting here regularly. As usual with my travels, I’ll take photos and keep a journal - and if there’s internet access I’ll keep you informed of whatever I’m up to. (If there’s no internet access, I’ll disappear and then post it all in a big chomp on my return again).

Which brings me to that title… I doubt any of my readers are old enough to remember it, but Like Webster’s Dictionary, I’m Morocco Bound.
